Activity & To-Do List

InSched provides two views for tracking pending tasks: the Activity List (a log of activities, where activities can be marked complete) and the To-Do List (an interactive workflow tool for managing and completing tasks).

Activity List

The Activity List shows activities across patients — both those created by staff and those raised automatically.

Accessing the Activity List

Select View > Activity List from the menu.

Activity Grid

The grid displays activities with columns including:

ColumnDescription
SummaryBrief description of the activity
Full DescriptionDetailed description
Create DateWhen the activity was created
Due DateWhen the activity is due
Date CompletedWhen the activity was finished

Additional system fields track the patient, plan, event, provider, assigned resource, action group, and other metadata.

Marking Activities Complete

The grid supports selecting multiple rows (Ctrl-click or Shift-click, or the Select All button). Click Mark Complete to mark every selected activity complete in one step — you'll be asked to confirm, and each completion is audit-stamped.

Where Activities Come From

Besides activities staff create, InSched raises activities automatically from online events, so nothing arriving from outside the practice is missed. Examples include:

  • A payment link being paid (record the payment)
  • Received faxes and forwarded voicemail messages
  • Patient portal messages and requests
  • Appointment reminders or confirmation requests that could not be delivered, so staff can reach the patient another way
  • Rcopia e-prescribing notifications (pending prescriptions, renewal requests — see Rcopia e-Prescribing)
  • New leads from web inquiries

Whether online communications create activities is configurable on the Setup > Preferences > Activities tab.

To-Do List

The To-Do List is the primary tool for staff to manage their daily and weekly action items.

Accessing the To-Do List

Select View > To Do List from the menu.
